About the Center

The Center for Cyber Security and Cryptology (CCSC), Sharda University was established on 27th July, 2021. Prof. (Dr.) Shri Kant is the founding and current head of the CCSC. The CCSC aims at the promotion of interdisciplinary research in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Computing and Communication, Data Analysis and Statistics towards teaching, research as well as training and development in Cyber Security and Cryptology. The CCSC also aims to develop indigenous capacity building in all relevant fields of Information and Communication technology.

The objective is to provide a good blend of theory and industrial practice, necessary theoretical background, insight into general and technical aspects of Cyber Security, analytical methods and management practices in the field of Cyber Security. Such professionals are required in large numbers for managing and addressing safety issues in the broadband networks, the wireless signals around us and local networks of our educational system, health services, business networks, the massive grids that power our nation, the classified military and intelligence networks that keep us safe, and the World Wide Web that has made us more interconnected than at any time in human history.

Vision

To be recognized as excellent interdisciplinary research center of Mathematics, Computer Science, Computing and Communication: towards teaching, research, training and development in Cyber Security and Cryptology for indigenous capacity building in all relevant fields of Information and Communication Technology.

Mission

M1: To come up with technologies for protecting national critical infrastructure as well as of public domain utility from cyber related threats.

M2: To ensure availability of courses and research on current areas of Cyber threat intelligence, Quantum Computing vs Quantum Cryptography, AI and ML based framework for Cyber Security and Cryptology.

Scope

The Center will put significant thrust to the frontier areas of Cyber Security and Cryptology, including technology, practice, management, and policy issues. The CCSC is committed to provide a good blend of theory and industrial practice; necessary theoretical background, insight into general and technical aspects of Cyber Security, analytical methods and management practices in the field of Cyber Security

Academic

The CCSC is focusing on following training and degree programme:

  • General Awareness Program: “Cyber Security facts and Myth” (2-3 Days)
  • Certificate Course: “Cyber Security and Digital Forensic” Ten (10) full days program.
  • Post Graduate Diploma: “Cryptography and Cyber Threat Analysis” Two Semesters
  • M. Tech. Program: “Cryptology and Cyber Security”
  • Ph. D. Program: As per the guidelines and ordinance issued by RDC, Sharda University
